04 / CONFLICTS + CORRECTIONS

Accuracy matters more than preserving earlier language.

We disclose material conflicts, protect editorial control, preserve publication history, and visibly correct meaningful errors.

CONFLICTS + FUNDING

Relationships that could influence an investigation must be visible.

Researchers disclose relevant compensation, gifts, investments, contracts, family relationships, political roles, and advocacy affiliations. A direct financial interest may require recusal or visible disclosure.

Client-funded work identifies the funder and preserves our control over methods, findings, and publication language. If independence cannot be protected, the assignment is declined or terminated.

CORRECTIONS PROCESS

A documented path from concern to resolution.

02

Assess

Credible requests are logged and tested against the underlying evidence.

03

Correct

Material factual changes receive a visible note explaining what changed and why.

04

Preserve

Superseded versions and rejected requests are retained internally with the supporting rationale.

PUBLICATION SAFEGUARDS

02One-time proceeds, projected revenue, recurring revenue, abatements, and public costs remain distinct.

03Design commitments are not presented as measured operating performance.

04Administrative milestones are not called final approval unless the governing authority confirms it.

05Charts identify units, assumptions, timeframes, and limitations.

06Major publications receive a source audit, plain-language review, conflict check, and correction path.
